What happens during a "Meet & Greet" for Doggy DayCare?
I can meet at your home so I can introduce myself to your dog or dogs, learn about their daily routine, dietary needs, and medical history, and collect house keys if required or follow your specific instructions.​
What do I need to pack for my dog’s boarding stay?
Please bring your dog's regular food, secure leash & harness, their favourite bed/blanket and toys, daily treats, and any necessary medications if required. You will be given a general questionnaire beforehand to complete.
Do I need to be at home for dog daycare or dog walking?
Most clients provide a house key or a secure method of entry. You can rest assured, as a more mature local Kinsale resident of 15 years, and being in my 50's, that I fully appreciate your home's safety and security.
Can I cancel a booked doggy daycare or dog boarding stay?
Yes, of course - There is a full cancellation policy for both at own home dog day care services and for dog boarding at our own home in Kinsale. You can view the cancellation timelines via the bookings page.
Do you offer Dog Sitting Services overnight at the owners home?
Yes, sometimes this service to provide dog sitting overnight at your own home is possible - Usually for week days and for 1 or 2 nights. It is best to contact to enquire - A weekend stay may also be possible sometimes.
How would you handle an emergency situation?
If an emergency arises, I will immediately contact you, and if required and agreed, your dog will be taken to your registered vet. If you can attend at short notice, I will follow your instructions and stay with your dog until arrival.
Will my dog be left alone during their dog boarding stay?
Your dog will not be left alone for extended periods. The house is fully secured, with our own female Poochon for company. We never leave our own dog for too long and have video surveillance in the home and music playing.
Will my dog be walked in a large pack of dogs?
No. I only provide solo dog walks or dog walking with 2 dogs from the same household at a time. To ensure maximum safety, control, and assure my personalised attention at all times to your dog or dogs.
How far in advance should I book Dog day Care and Dog Boarding?
As we only dog sit 1 small dog at a time for dog boarding in Kinsale, it's best to book circa 3-4 weeks ahead of your dates, but at least 1 week is ideally required. Doggy Daycare is flexible - 1-3 days notice is fine.
Having never used you for Dog Minder Services - Can I trust you?
I would feel exactly the same way about this. The best assurance is a meet first and dog owners are also more than welcome to come to our house and to meet us also. With 30+ years with dogs I fully understand this point.
What are the requirements for dog boarding at your home?
We exclusively host only one small breed dog at a time. Ensuring they receive full care & attention. They must be under 7kg, house-trained, fully vaccinated, friendly with people and used to another small dogs company.
How does your dog day care service work?
I travel directly to your home to care for your dog or dogs in their own familiar environment. This is perfect for more sensitive dogs and puppies who prefer their own space and familiar surroundings.
How do I know that my dog is doing well during the day visit?
If requested, I can send a photo or text updates during my dog minder and doggy daycare visits to your home, or during dog walks. I always aim to be flexible to individual needs of any client requests.
How far do you travel from Kinsale for Dog Minding & Dog Day Care?
